12 Aug, 2018

Postcards from the 48% is a documentary film made by, and featuring those who voted Remain, the 48%, to show the other 27 EU Member States that it was far from a landslide victory and just why we are fighting to stay part of the EU.

Premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival, this film has been showing in different parts of the Country and now it is Lincolnshire's turn - for one night only.

The film will be screened at Stamford Arts Centre on Thursday 23rd August.

Prior to screening, there will be an opportunity to join like minded people for a pre screen drink in the Cellar Bar from 6.30pm before the screening of the film at the Stamford Arts Centre from 7.30pm followed by a Q & A session with the Director David Wilkinson.

If you have not heard of the film, here's a sneak preview.

Further information about the film can be found on the Postcards4EU website

The screening will commence at 7.30pm and tickets are available now from the Stamford Arts Centre priced at £6.50. plus a £1.00 booking fee.

There will be an opportunity to meet up with other like minded people in the Cellar Bar from 6.30pm, and the screening will be followed by a Q & A session with the Director David Wilkinson.

Following the film, our colleagues from the Stamford Rainbow Coalition for Europe have arranged a session of light entertainment in the Cellar Bar with none other than #EUsupergirl Madeleina Kay

Our Chair, John Bland said

"As this film has not received the support it deserves from cinemas around the country, we are very lucky to see it being shown here in Lincolnshire. With the added bonus of Medeleina Kay coming to the Cellar Bar, this looks like being a very memorable evening. I hope that those who are curious as to why we people are campaigning up and down the country as earnestly as we are for a People's Vote on the final Brexit deal will take this opportunity to see the film. I would like to thank the film Director, David Wilkinson, Madeleina Kay and the Stamford Rainbow Coalition for Europe, for making the evening possible"
