Brexit: What it means for fisheries & seafood

The EU's Common Fisheries Policy has influenced policy decisions affecting British fisheries since 1973. This event will explore the impact of Brexit on the future of UK fisheries and food chains. A panel of politicians, experts and local industry professionals will debate these issues and invite questions from the audience on Brexit, Fishing and Seafood.

The result of the UK’s referendum on EU membership which took place on  23rd June 2016 and the triggering of Article 50, the official mechanism for starting the process of withdrawal from the European Union,   will have dramatic impacts on many aspects of the UK’s economy. 

This free event is open to all who are interested in hearing various views on the important changes facing the fishing industry and seafood production.
